Susie has been busy trying a pattern from the new book available at Dancing Ewe Yarns and Teas. This is the Swirl Tablecloth from Jane Gottelier's "knitting and tea". What a wonderful new book to have in the shop. The "tablecloth" is knitted with Rowan Glace on size 8 needles. It measures 24 inches.There are many patterns and recipes in this book to try; even a Tea Cozy pattern.
Here is a closeup of the lace knitting. She will be adding beads to each point for an extra touch.
Susie found a treasure at the local thrift shop years ago that works perfectly for blocking lace. She found a quilted, padded table protector and drew several sizes of circles on it. Now she can block to whatever size she needs.
Put on a large piece of Styrofoam, it makes a wonderful blocking tool.
Keeping an eye open for ideas and treasures like this makes blocking so much easier.
