KNITTING WITH SUSIE~TUESDAY MORNING

Here are pictures of the ladies joining Susie for the Tuesday morning knitting group at The Dancing Ewe. Susie has been knitting since she was four and she has taught many to knit over the years. Knitters turn to her often for help.We were all glad to see Terry back after her surgery. Apparently cabin fever set in and her husband drove her into town to join us. Terry is a wonderful teacher and has also taught many to knit. We hope to see her "back in the saddle" soon on Thursdays.
The ladies came the Tuesday before Christmas to work on projects. Now that's dedication. Here are Linda and Karen busily working on their knitting.
Janelle and Anna too. Janelle's sweater for her dad is coming along.
Cathy and Irene~busy knitting.
Cathy knitted a scarf and hat for her son for Christmas. She used Cascade Lana d' Oro and the alpaca wool blend made it so soft.
Terry finishing up a hat for Christmas for one of her grandchildren.
Anna's cute "Gingerbread" hat.

KEEPING WARM

January will soon be here! This baby blanket is from Ann Norling #38 as is the white one below. I found this pink one, when folded crosswise,
makes a warm shawl. Ann Y. knit both of these blankets out of Cascade 220 Superwash.
Both would be great baby presents or good for winter lap robes.
Something else to keep warm is this rectangular shawl made with Sublime Kid Mohair. It took seven balls to make and the yarn is a mohair, nylon, merino blend. This will keep your shoulders nice and toasty.
The Textured Brim Hat is Janelle's newest free shop pattern creation. I love the textured brim. She used one ball of King George, a worsted weight baby alpaca, merino wool, cashmere blend. And, one ball of Yardley, a boucle yarn made of baby alpaca, silk and nylon. How soft! Both yarns are from Bristol Yarn Gallery. Look at all the colors too.
And, here was a gift from Ann Y. to the women who work at the shop, cute stocking earrings! Only two of us were here to open them but aren't they cute!

KEEPING WARM AT 15 DEGREES

It's 15 degrees out this morning! These felted clogs would be great on a morning like this (or any morning for that matter). Made by Ann Y., they are a Fiber Trends pattern using three skeins of Cascade 220. There are several sizes for men and women and another pattern for children. Here is Janelle's pair she keeps at the store. I know she'll need them this week!
Wouldn't this shawl be warm around your shoulders with a cup of tea in hand. Donna W. finished her Feather and Fan Shawl and just has the ends to weave in. She used eight balls of RY Cashsoft DK color sage and made it 14" wide.
Let's encourage her to get those ends weaved in!
And a little something from Janelle. A free with purchase dish scrubbie pattern knitted from Peaches & Cream cotton yarn. We'll be getting more in with some new colors in a few weeks.
Meanwhile, enjoy the great knitting weather keeping toasty warm under all your knits.

Our Customers Have Been Busy~Christmas Gifts

Customer, Deanna P. has been knitting socks and scarves for family members for Christmas. She's a fast knitter! I'm sure her children are going to love these handknit gifts. The first scarf is a combination of gray and burgundy yarn from Cascade 220. Everyone will recognize the yarn in the other two! Noro of course.
Linda R. is busy making hats for her family using Cascade Pastaza and the pattern "SKIP" from Hip Knit Hats.
Here she is busy knitting away at our Tuesday morning knitting group.

And finally, Janelle's progress on her dad's sweater. She's been working on the body. She said it was a good thing she left so much yarn on the sleeves. She needed to add one inch to them!

A little added touch, she put her dad's initials in the sweater. Can you see the TF?
