Fall Chill~Fall Colors

In a few days the Fair and Rodeo will be over and the kids back in school. We all know the cool fall weather is coming. Here is a wool scarf I made for the shop. This easy pattern is made with Cascade Lana D'Oro yarn in three fall colors. The pattern is found in the book "Hats, Gloves, Scarves" by Louisa Harding. Colors were Olive, Cinnamon and Ocher and stitched on a #8 needle. Make it as long or short as you'd like.
With the leftovers I knitted and felted The Mesa Bowl from Carol Bristol Designs, blending the Cinnamon and Ocher and using the Olive doubled for the top.

The Buttons Cardigan

Knitting for babies is always fun. Projects are small, require less yarn and less time to complete and are so adorable when finished.

This pattern is The Buttons Cardigan #606 from Cabin Fever and I really love it. It is knit from the top down, in one piece, with NO SEWING and it is so easy. Once you have done this pattern it will become a favorite of yours, too.

I used Vermont Organic Fiber Co yarn O-Wool Balance, color #3017 Malachite. It is a 50/50 Organic Cotton and Organic Wool blend. It is very soft and I love the tweedy look. I used a #6 needle and it took 2 skeins and smidge of a 3rd. With the remainder of the 3rd skein I made the hat to complete the coordinated look. Babies must be stylish, too.
